Location

RIST owns a building complex at 915 Mt. Napier Road, Hamilton, that was funded by the Federal Department of Education. The complex accommodates offices for both RIST and Department of Primary Industries (DPI) staff, and is surrounded by an operational research farm, owned and operated by the DPI.

The facility has a large lecture theatre, four small tutorial rooms, a computer room, a kitchen, a large pavilion, and a laboratory which are all used extensively during the delivery of RIST training. RIST also has access to on site sheep yards, cattle yards, and a shearing shed - for use during practical animal handling activities undertaken as part of the training.

RIST also conducts training on farm in different locations throughout Australia.
