Cancellation of Course & Withdrawls (Government Funded Training)
The Student Withdrawal Policy is set by the State Government and applies to all Government funded courses. Students who have not officially withdrawn from a course or module and have a balance for fees owing, are still liable for these fees.
A student who officially withdraws within four weeks of the course/module commencement, will receive a refund of fees paid less the minimum enrolment fee (2012 fees and charges). A student who withdraws to take up a place at another tertiary institution will receive a full refund of all fees paid. The letter of offer from the other tertiary institution must be provided.
Students who withdraw after the first four weeks WILL NOT receive a refund. This includes student who withdraw within the first four weeks, however fail to complete a Withdrawal form before the four weeks pass.
It is the responsibility of the student to complete a Withdrawal form. These forms are available upon request, from the RIST Centre.
If for any reason RIST cancels a training session, prior to or after commencement, all participants will be provided with a full refund of any course fees paid.
Cancellation of Course & Withdrawls (Fee for Service Training)
To be eligible for a full refund for Fee for Service Training, the student must complete a withdrawal form at least one week prior to course commencement. It is the responsibility of the student to obtain and complete a Withdrawal form. These forms are available upon request, from the RIST Centre. Failure to submit a completed form in the above mentioned time frame, WILL NOT be eligible to receive a refund, however those with special circumstances may apply to RIST for a refund.
