What Participants are saying about the course:

“The evaluating of current state of paddocks and planning ahead component of the program is excellent as it helps in the long
term decision making process but assists with the
need to be flexible in the short term with issues such as slug baiting or
ryegrass control.”

Simon Ross, Penshurst

"The RIST cropping course helped me to identify the techniques and inputs required to improve the productivity and profitability of our cropping enterprise. The interaction and support from people in the group, particularly in a difficult season, was invaluable."
Tom Whinney, Nerrin Nerrin

About the course:

The Profitable & Sustainable Crop Production program focuses on improving producer understanding of the importance of paddock management, in order to be a successful and sustainable grain, oil seed or pulse producer. The timing of each session is linked to the critical management stages in the cropping production cycle. All sessions involve a visit to each participants farm and they are facilitated by local industry experts skilled in Agronomic issues.

The aim of Profitable & Sustainable Crop Production is to instil a ‘measure-to-manage’ ethos in participating producers that will assist with key decision making in crop production.
